So it’s January again. This first part of the new year I’ve been able to slow down my life and spend a lot of quality time with God. Not that I’ve gotten any crazy revelations or any major miracles. It has been the small things in the past couple days of this new year. a word here, some money there, a thought going to bed. a txt from a friend. the small things in the last couple days have reminded me of how good God is. How amazing life can be when we spend time each day with our creator and friend. Up coming this month are a lot of outreaches and ministry opportunities with the IMT program where I serve, and with VWMTC where I go to school.
Yesterday I had my first meeting for this Spring Breaks missions trip with the 6th & 7th graders at Victory Christian School. For the past couple years I have been going on short term missions trips with the school where I graduated high school. On these trips I give myself back to the students as a leader. My job on these trips is to make it possible for them to share Jesus with people their age and older, giving them opportunities to see a different part of the world, and give out to others who don’t have some of the things they have. It is an exciting time for the students and for us leaders who will be going to McAllen, TX where we will minister to hurting children and families.
The thing I’ve learned the most in the past few months is trusting God and planting seeds. Spending time with God in prayer and studying His word, and giving into people’s lives as they minister and share the love of Jesus with others. these are the things I’m doing and plan on continuing this year.
