You have to know your heart to truly live. It’s not always safe and comfortable finding it, but it is necessary to live. No one can fill the longing of the heart for the love of the father God. The questioning we have as men and women comes from the void we feel from the distance between us and our true father, God. Passion is meant to be found in marriage, but also in the love between a person and God. Jesus please help us come alive, fully alive in the relationship we have with you. The Lord speaks to each of us individually, in a way that speaks to our hearts, it is personal and significant to our growth in Him. Life is meant to be lived one step at a time, in a slow, smooth progression, from one step to the next, ever closer to Him. In this process we will find God as we seek Him out.
One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.
– Psalm 27:4
There is a freedom in the affirmation of God that must be found by each man and woman. We often seek for that affirmation from our parents, siblings, friends, or companions, but it can only be found in God. When we go searching for it in others we end up broken and discouraged.
