Humphreys Peak

Last week I went on a road trip to the Grand Canyon and Colorado to hike some mountains and camp in the valleys of Colorado. As I drove through Arizona I saw the San Francisco mountain range spreading up past Flagstaff, AZ. I thought, it would be cool to climb that. So after visiting the Grand Canyon I went back to the trail head of Humphreys peak and climbed the mountain starting at 2:30 am to reach the summit as the sun was rising over the mountain. It was a beautiful morning.

Few things in life can describe the feeling of reaching the top of a mountain at the end of the hike. It is a great feeling of accomplishment.

It is simply Beautiful to see the cities and landscape from the summit of a mountain.

And so that is how my vacation was spent. climbing mountains and enjoying God’s creation.
